SEO Manager

We are looking for an experienced SEO Manager to own, develop and coordinate the delivery of SEO efforts for our fantastic travel brand - Le Boat. Le Boat owns and operates the largest and most stylish fleet of self-drive cruisers on Europe and Canada's waterways. Currently operating in 9 countries, with a fleet of 900 charter boats, we attract customers from all over the world. We are passionate about providing outstanding quality and service.

As the SEO Manager, you will own onsite and offsite optimisation and keyword research with the goal to increase our company’s profitability and visibility on international search engines.  You will need to be an analytical and perceptive professional who is a skilled communicator and able to collaborate with various teams. Current knowledge of technical SEO practices and techniques is essential to this role.

What you will be doing

  • Develop and lead the execution of the Le Boat SEO strategy, ensuring it is driving audience growth and subsequent revenue
  • Act as Le Boat’s SEO champion, working with Content and Regional Marketing teams to recommend content gaps and optimise new and existing website content
  • Work and manage small to large scale content marketing campaigns, assembling a team from each relevant department to start the process in house
  • Management of relevant SEO tools that help the business achieve its targets
  • Review technical SEO issues and recommend fixes
  • Own the implementation of SEO improvements that can be made without website development resource such as evergreen strategies
  • Direct off-page optimisation projects (e.g. link-building)
  • Monitor search performance and develop reports to ensure key SEO performance is shared with relevant stakeholders to assist future decision-making
  • Benchmark Le Boat’s performance through relevant market research, to ensure we’re making the most of all opportunities
  • Work with Marketing colleagues to inform other marketing strategies e.g. paid search and partnerships as well as recommending new ideas
  • Must be willing to actively share knowledge and drive SEO training for other team members
  • Continuously improve SEO processes to ensure work is delivered efficiently and timely
  • Support English and non-English websites
  • Keeping up to date with the latest SEO developments and best practice

What we are looking for

To be successful in this role you will be an experienced SEO Manager ideally working within eCommerce and be confident in developing and executing SEO strategies both technical and off-page. You would have a strong working knowledge of Google Analytics, Search Console, and SEO tools such as Ahrefs and Screaming Frog. As well as experience working within SEO across multiple countries/languages with the ability to run advanced multilingual keyword and subject matter research. We are looking for someone who can turn insight into realistic actionable plans and have the confidence to challenge the status quo. Language skills, particularly German or French would be beneficial along with knowledge of the Drupal CMS platform.

Our Le Boat UK head office is in Surbiton, Surrey, however, we would be happy to consider candidates from around the UK for remote working if you match the criteria above.
