The Commercial Manager will have full commercial responsibility for a number of destination markets across all the UK source market tailor-made brands. The role will oversee market-based capacity, pricing and margin management – working in partnership with other core stakeholders (product, marketing, and sales). With a focus on margin optimisation, it will be crucial that you have a high level of knowledge and operational experience of the planning and analysis of product portfolios.

You will be expected to have senior management experience within a product, pricing, revenue or commercial function within a travel-related business.

Main accountabilities for this position include:

  • Development of each market’s commercial plan and the subsequent oversight of its implementation
  • Preparation of a market-wide update for the weekly trading meetings and providing commentary and analysis on reporting to the business on the performance of the product area.
  • Working closely with the procurement, marketing and sales teams of each brand to develop a new product portfolio based on projected demand
  • Responsibility of commercial product portfolio and pricing strategies across each market
  • Ownership of the tactical and campaign strategy for each market and co-ordinating sales and marketing initiatives to deliver speed to market
  • Ownership of forecasting for each market and ensuring all revenue management systems are up to date

We are looking for a dynamic and engaging individual with outstanding strategic thinking and decision-making ability. Knowledge and understanding of the luxury tailormade tour operator industry are essential along with strong analytical skills and the ability to identify trends and patterns in business performance and develop key business strategies to maximise revenues and margins.
